DEVELOPMENT FOCUSED

Underdog Basketball is making its debut in the youth club scene with a development-focused approach unlike any other. Unlike many programs that prioritize winning above all else, our mission centers on player growth and improvement. Participants will see tangible progress in their current skills while building a foundation for long-term success in their future game.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

In most club settings, limited instruction during scheduled practices often prevents players from maximizing their development. At Underdog Basketball, we focus on key aspects of skill growth to ensure players achieve real, measurable improvement in their individual game.

THE CURRICULUM

With our Underdog Elite program, players will benefit from the same proven curriculum developed by Founder and Lead Trainer Christopher Moran of Underdog Sports Basketball Training LLC. Over the past eight years, Underdog Basketball has helped more than 200 players in the community reach their goals, establishing itself as the Lehigh Valley’s highest-rated skills development program.

COST-EFFECTIVE

With the rising costs of AAU programs in the Lehigh Valley, Underdog Basketball is committed to providing an affordable option that won’t empty your pockets. Our competitive rates are designed to support the growth of the program while prioritizing the development of players in the community. Registration fees will cover tournament entry, team gear, and other essentials that directly benefit the program and its participants.

UNDERDOG ELITE TEAMS

BOYS & GIRLS DIVISION

Our inaugural season in spring 2025 featured our 16U Boys Team. Stay tuned for announcements about the formation of additional teams in the future.

TEAM SIZE

Teams will typically consist of 8-10 players, with the possibility of larger rosters as needed.

TOURNAMENTS

During the spring and into the summer season, teams will participate in at least 5 tournaments.

Players in our program will have the chance to participate in weekly group training sessions focused on skill development, in addition to their scheduled team practice. Team practices will cover offensive and defensive principles, game strategies, plays, and more.

Christopher Moran, the Lehigh Valley's top-rated skills trainer, is the director of the Underdog Elite AAU Program. Recognizing the need for greater structure, skill development, and game study at younger ages, Chris has brought his expertise to create a one-of-a-kind club experience. His vision is to foster an environment where players become true students of the game, receiving the instruction and guidance needed to elevate their skills to the next level.

UNDERDOG ELITE FAQ

WILL YOU BE ADDING MORE TEAMS?

Our inaugural spring 2025 season featured our 16U Boys team. Additional age groups and a Girls Division are in the works and will be announced soon. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter and follow us on social media to stay updated on all program news.

WHEN WILL TRYOUTS BE HELD?

Tryouts for the spring 2026 season will be announced at a later date. Space will be limited, and players must register in advance for a nominal fee.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENTS ARE ACCEPTED?

Once your child makes the team, parents will receive an invoice via PayPal, which offers multiple payment options, including debit/credit card, Apple Pay, Venmo, and more. Payment must be completed for your child to participate in team activities.

WILL PAYMENT PLANS BE AVAILABLE?

Yes, individuals selected for our final rosters will have the option to choose a payment plan for the registration fees upon receiving the invoice. Please note that all payment terms and policies are subject to PayPal's discretion.

WILL I KNOW OUR PRACTICE/TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE?

Yes, you will be notified of the tournaments your team will participate in for the spring season. Parents and players will have access to the full tournament schedule once the team is finalized. As for team practices, the schedule will be released monthly, with an emphasis on maintaining consistent dates and times to ensure convenience for everyone.

WHERE WILL TOURNAMENTS BE PLAYED?

The majority of our tournaments will take place right here in the Lehigh Valley. Our goal is to minimize travel and reduce additional expenses for players and parents, allowing everyone to focus more on skill development and making the most of their time in our program.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR PROGRAM?

We will explain the financial costs to those who plan to try out for the team. Our goal is to offer a competitive rate and provide a program and experience that won’t break the bank.

ARE GROUP TRAININGS INCLUDED IN MY PLAYER REGISTERATION FEE?

No, group training sessions are a separate cost and require separate registration from this program. However, we highly encourage players to take advantage of our weekly skills sessions to accelerate their skill development.

HOW WOULD I BE NOTIFIED IF MY CHILD MADE THE TEAM?

Underdog Basketball will make every effort to contact all players/parents who registered and participated in tryouts with our final decision.
